Emotional Issues
Emotional problems can take on many different forms;
- Psychoses
- Drug induced disorders
- Disorders associated with brain damage or mental illness
- Emotional disorders
Psychoses includes serious mental disorders which cause people to lose contact with reality, to see or hear things that are not there (hallucinations) or perhaps to experience distorted and unrealistic thoughts (delusions). People suffering from such disorders are often incapable of self-care, and need strong support or hospitalization.
Drug or alcohol induced disorders need to address the drug/alcohol abuse before any help can be given on the emotional issues.
Disorders associated with brain damage or mental illness need strong support in a loving environment.
Emotional disorders can be seen as addictions or phobias. This is where the person puts too much emphasis on a particular event or situation, or other person, and this overemphasized focus is detrimental to the health of the individual. This condition often leads to panic attacks or anxiety disorder that stops the person from doing ordinary things or living a reasoned and balanced life-style.
At Mind For Life we have a unique programme that has helped many people with emotional disorders. The corner-stone of the programme is the Dynamic Thought Transfer Technique TM and our methods of teaching. We do not have any magic formulas or special powers, we do not tell people how to live their lives … what we do is guide, teach, support, and encourage; if the client fully participates in the programme then they will overcome their emotional issues. Every person who has fully participated in the programme has created new opportunities in their lives … without exception.
