With reference to my weight control programme, I deal with this completely differently from most other practitioners. Let me explain.
It is my experience that many people look at their lives, and decide that, this or that, is not what they want, so they focus on trying to changing the specific ‘thing’ that they are not happy with, like weight problem, or work role, or relationships etc. This all seems logical, but often does not result in the person actually changing anything in the long run because, after a period of time, they usually find they have slipped back into a similar situation.
This occurred in my life, until I realized that I needed to understand and change ‘me’ ... the ‘me’ that was continually doing the same thing over and over again, in different ways, always ending up in the same place. It was when I reached rock bottom that I decided that trying to change specific elements of my life one at a time was not working that I decided to research how I actually ‘worked’ as a person. I mean not the, ‘woo woo’ stuff or the positive thinking fad that perpetuates our media ... I desired to know how I really worked and to understand what made me ‘me’?
It took time for me to research, and develop a programme of change that worked for me. I will not lie to myself, nor will I knowingly deceive myself with placebo methods. I am on my ‘journey of discovery’ and have demonstrated to myself that what I do works for me. My journey has produced a person who is passionate about life, and fortunately has the skills and training, who can help other people to find their way on their ‘journey’ to change their life. I have now been steadily improving my programme of change since 2004.
I do not have a programme that is specific to loosing weight; I have a programme that will help clients control their weight to whatever they desire. There is a difference in emphasis. The programme is based on education, meditation and rejuvenation. I teach people who they are, how they work, using meditation, and techniques unique to Mind For Life, which I have developed, and let clients decide what it is they desire from their life on this Planet. (That task is usually the greatest challenge.) The programme has validity, as I collect data from clients at the beginning of the therapy, and measure the changes at certain intervals throughout the therapy. No one can make you change; only you can do that ... only you can decide what your behaviour should be ... only you can decide what your life should be. My data clearly demonstrates evidence that my programme of change works. It works ... it is that simple. If you follow the techniques taught, and use the meditation as suggested you can change current behaviour. The programme is for life not just for the period of therapy.
We have developed a Weight Control Programme that really works. It works by teaching you techniques and processes to help you change your belief system ... it then educates you about some little known and understood facts relating to the food that we eat and drink. I personally lost 28 pounds in 2004 using this technique, and I have never put any weight back on. I am extremely healthy and fit BY CHOICE.
The power of the programme is in the fact that you do not not go on a diet you make different choices.
